I'm interested in how Earth's coupled climate system works. Interactions between the different climate system components fascinate me, particularly if the ocean is involved. Currently my work focusses on understanding how changes in ocean circulation affect biogeochemical cycles such as that of nitrogen, oxygen and carbon particularly on timescales of hundreds to thousands of years.
